If you are lucky enough to own a pool, you understand the hours of unbridled joy one can bring. What happens when you and your family outgrow your pool though, and you want to add length or depth? It may be the perfect time to remodel. Maybe that old kidney shape is just not doing it for you anymore or you fancy upgrading to a classy infinity style pool. Whatever reasons you have, a phone call to Neave Pools to schedule a home visit and consultation is all you will need to find your perfect solution.

Enlarging a Pool is a Complicated Process

Our home visit to evaluate your pool and your desires for it is critical to the success of the project. We need to know what kind of pool you have first. A Gunite – or Shotcrete pool is a more permanent pool that is fully customizable and has no limits. Gunite is incredibly durable and has a higher life expectancy, which means it may be more costly to demolish and rebuild a larger one. Vinyl pools have a lower initial cost but only last 7 to 15 years before a replacement is needed. This does mean that it may be easier to enlarge the pool rather than start from scratch, though.

Our home visit from one of our certified building professionals (CBP‘s) will come up with a cost-effective plan. Our people know all there is to know about pool enlargement, and they will give you the option that makes the most sense.

Pool Enlargements Require Some Landscaping

Our integrated Neave Group Outdoor Solutions team is not just pool people. We have a complete structure of service divisions in place that works seamlessly together. We can add beautiful decks, patios, lighting and fencing, as we enlarge your pool. Most pool enlargements are going to require some landscaping anyway, so why not let our team show you what is possible? When we enlarge or design your pool, we can look at adding:

  • Athletic courts and sport fields
  • Landscaping and gardens
  • Decking, fencing and fine carpentry
  • Patios, paths, and masonry
  • Dramatic landscape lighting
  • Lawn, plant and tree care
  • Pool houses
  • Outdoor kitchens
  • And more

We also received “Best of Houzz 2016” for excellence in customer service.

In past years, Neave Pools has taken home numerous awards for our design and construction work from the Northeast Spa & Pool Association.

So, Do I Renovate, Enlarge or Just Start Again?

A quality Gunite in-ground pool from Neave Pools is guaranteed for life. It is likely though that you will want a change at some time.

Maybe the liner, tiles or decking are worn and need replacing.

Older systems may need updating, or you may be just tired of how it all looks. Whatever the issue – we can offer a pool renovation or remodeling solution that fits your needs and budget. We can change materials, add spectacular features, even change the shape and size of the pool, but it stands to reason that the more extreme the change, the higher the end cost will be. We can help you to form a detailed list of pros and cons, so you are armed with all the information necessary to make an informed decision.

Very dramatic transformations or even small enlargements can add up to the same cost as a demo and rebuild so it pays to have pros on your side who know all the ins and out of pool work to help you decide which way to go. Call us today in New York at (845) 463-0592. In Westchester at (914) 271-7996 or in Connecticut at (203) 212-4800 and we’ll get started together.
